Martin U Waltz’s photography in the rain

Danny Santos' Bad Weather brings me the idea about focusing on which part of the people in the rain.Martin U Waltz is the other street photographer who gives me helps.
On his website, he write about how to do street photography in the rain.Exclude the basic tips, such as take a umbrella or make the camera waterproof, he also gives an important tip to me.
He stresses that in the rain, a kind of weak light environment, looking for other interesting light is very important.In his examples, car lights, city lights and neon lights can be good light sources in a photo.
He likes use figure to ground in his pictures by using the strong background light.That's a direction which I am also practicing during my shooting.But in my project, I will focus on people's faces.So I think I can try these technique as the background.

Still life photography maybe is not what I must to learn, but I did shoot a lot of still life photograph as a personal daily mission.(Though I didn't know they are still life photographs.) Street Photographer:Anna Delany

I prefer to looking for somewhere few people in the city.And I enjoy the silent atmosphere of those places.Anna Delany can give me many inspirations for shooting those places. This picture shows her great framing ability.I still need to improve my sight to quickly make up a frame in my mind. I can't understand how to shoot like this picture.Really amazing. These pictures shoots the abandoned buildings inside.I used to explore these places in China before I started photographing.And I always had trouble with adjusting the colours.But now these photos tell me that black and white can well show the old feeling without the dirty colours.

Building Photographer: Nick Guttridge

Singapore is a city that has many interesting buildings.It's easy for me to photo a okay picture.But the real hard is to take significant pictures.Nick Guttridge gives good examples for me. To show the white colour of the building, the cloud can be grey. Not only building has a special appearance.If there is a person and a groove to be contrasts will become more interesting. Also need to have perceiving ability with locality.This picture doesn't say to much but has the good matched colours，two kinds of textures and a suitable frame to put them into the picture.
